Marcus McCoy is an alchemist, blacksmith and practitioner of folk magic. He is the owner of alchemical and occult inspired perfume house, the House of Orpheus, and is the owner of Troll cunning forge. Troll cunning forge is a specialty blacksmithy focusing on the creation of talismanic objects utilizing traditional as well as innovative methods pulling from his knowledge of alchemy and cross cultural folk magic. Marcus McCoy is also co-facilitator for the viridis genii symposium, and co-editor for the book series Verdant gnosis.
Marcus McCoy provided a demonstration via slide show of the act of making iron talismans and knives, as well as gave information on the process of blacksmithing and how one can get started.
The devils forge, a demonstration on the alchemical and folk magic practices of blacksmithing sorcery. Marcus explained the process of creating talismans and smithing for the purpose of malific martial magic using iron and the process of creating talismans of iron. Pulling from traditional examples from grimoire knives and ritual implements in ritual magic all the way to the use of horse shoes, and nails. We explored iron and it's magical history as the martial metal.
